I have missed HMGS Fall-in and Cold Wars, due to an unfortunate accident, so I was looking forward to getting back into the flow of things. The next event on my bingo card was Williamsburg Muster, located in Williamsburg Virginia.

This is a small local convention that is within reasonable road trip distance, so I tend to go most years. The location has the benefit of having a large number of historic sites and museums one can see, so making for a nice multi day adventure!

I got to the convention on Saturday. It was located at the same hotel, as usual. However, it is now labelled by Wydham, so an all new paint job! Parking is always plentiful for the event and there are many choices in restaurants close by. We stoped off at IHop for a quick breakfast and then headed to the event.

The sign in and layout was as past events, with all games and vendors in the business meeting areas on the left side of the hotel. Things start with the tournament room, which was hosting a 40k and Bolt Action tournament, while I was there. The Bolt Action always has such fantastic terrain at this event and is a must do, if you like Bolt Action. There was also a WWII Blitzkrieg Commander game going on in the space.
There was a raffle table with all kinds of goodies. I was only there for the short term, so I did not partake!

At the end of the hall, is the main meeting room. This is where you find all the vendors and stand alone games. The outside ring has all the vendors selling their wears. In the center and all the games. I have to say, they had a very healthy amount of games going on throughout the day. Probably the most I have seen since pre-covid days. They ranged from historical to fantasy/sci fi and covered all ages. The vendor selection was a little weaker than previous years (probably because Cold Wars was too close), but I managed to grab a few goodies! There was supposed to be a Flea Market on Sunday, but I was not there that day, so cannot really comment on the quality.

Overall, a nice little event if you are interested in a weekend trip for gaming in the winter!
