I have finally gotten around to “start” re-organizing myself game storage room. While putting things in place and looking for unneeded things to sell off, I came across a few project that I had almost finished emergency packed when I had to have my basement repaired. One of the things was the last two stands of my 1940 Norwegian army….
I had finished the troops a while back and just had to do the Bofers AA troop. I had the guns on sprues and the troops painted. I had set the crew aside and ordered a couple of boxers sprues for the section. They both ended up in different boxes and were forgotten about….
I pulled them out when going through stuff and got to work on the guns. A quick spray paint of green, followed by a black wash. I then hit them with a wet brush of US Armor green, then Russian uniform and followed with some Iraqi sand. I then painted the ammo brass and added black to the gun barrel end. I pulled out an older stand and matched the basing with pumice, dry brushing and some tufts/flock. I finished by gluing the guns to the bases and painting the boarder. Finally, I can say the army is finished!
