I finally got my additional bases and trays from Shogun miniatures, so went to work on my Dark Age Ostrogoth army. All the figures are from the Gajo painted catalog. I ordered enough to field a decent force and even have enough to field some as Feodorati.
The figures are all regular infantry spearmen and archers. I opted to base all the troops as regular infantry for to a 40mm base. For the archers, I went with one unit of formed archers and three of skirmish archers. All the figures are straight from the pack, with just some spear straightening.
I used the same basing approach as with the Romans. All the troops on Shogun Miniatures magnetic bases and their flanged movement trays. All are done with Muddy Paw basing, with a little brown sand mixed in to darken the tan. Once that set, I added summer turf from Scenic Express.
That finishes up all the infantry, now I just need to do the cavalry!
