I was on Ebay looking for a couple of sprues of 10mm Japanese and found a seller that had them. When I find a store on Ebay, I often check out their store listing to see what they are offering. This sometimes allows me to find things that I am interested in that may not be coded correctly. It also offsets shipping charges.

In this case, I came across a nice porporri of things from the seller. This included a painted chicken coop and some wood and rock barricades in 28mm. They looked decent online and the price was reasonable, so I added them to my order and awaited their arrival.

The box came a few days after I placed the order. I was curious how the figures would look in person, as photos often do not clearly show the painting quality (usually because of lighting or lack of close ups). Well, these were quite nice in my opinion. I was expecting to have to do a lot of pimping up, but that was not the case.

The chicken couple really did not need much. I did a drybrush on the thatched roof to add some contract. I touched up the eggs a bit. I also drybrushed up the dirt, to better match my existing terrain colors. I then added some of my usual flocking for the final match.

The barricade paint job was also very nice. I particularly liked how the wood pulp was done to offset the bark. I did drybrush the bases to match them to my terrain, like I did with the coop. I also added flock for the final matching with my terrain.

Once I finished with the flock drying, I hit both with a Krylon mat spray to lock in the flock. A few shekels and about an hour of work and I think I found a gem! They are now ready for my next F&I war battlefield.
