Another Historicon find in the vendor hall! I came across a vendor that was selling a lot of Bold Action miniatures. In addition, he was selling some of his own old painted stuff. This included some Flames of War and ancients. These were all painted to a decent standard, but it was nothing I was looking for.

However, under one of the trays, I noticed a small cardboard box. I pulled it out and looked inside and found a dozen section of stakes. Well, this was something that was interested in! All the stakes were fully painted and based on plastic. The price was right and I picked them up!

A little later, I came across some painted 3D printed tree stumps for a couple dollars each. These ended up being my big flea marked purchase! I grabbed these too, as they would work for pulp.

I pulled them out when I got home and looked them over. I thought the stumps could use another highlight on the stump, so I pulled out some tan and did that.

The stakes were mostly ready to go, but I was not a big fan of the flock color, as it did not match untying use I had. So, I pulled out my flock and white glue and went to town.

Once they all dried, I hit them all with some spray dull coat and sealed everything in. Thirty minutes of work and a few shekels, and I have some nice terrain pieces. The lesson here, is always look at those plane white boxes underneath uninteresting stuff!
