Our Tuesday night group has been reconstituting a bit of late. It has been energized my the release of the Star Wars Legion release of the new card sets, to easier play the new version of the rules. The group has been playing small point games, with two to three players on a side.

The idea is that we have to finish in the time we have at our FLGS and to help one another get used to the new rules and give time for players to paint up their armies (or reenergize the painting of their existing armies).

This was one of those games! The forces were 800 points of clones versus 800 points of droids. Not of the figures or terrain are mine, as I just jumped into the game as one of the players and could just sit back and enjoy the game! The Wachmeister will have a lot more on his blog (he owns the terrain and most of the clones).

I also stole the pictures from the Wachmeister, as my phone was almost out of juice from the afternoon game!

I was on the CIS side. The scenario had both forces entering in from the corners and the objectives in the center. The D6 on the table represent the objectives and the supplies.

We did not get to play the fifth turn, but everything was decided by then. Not having cleared the rust from our skills, our side messed up with the deployment and got burned badly by the IA rules in the early turns. Basically, my side of the table did not have a commander and had to use AI for a number of turns, which really impacted maneuverability. eventually, general Grievous entered the center of the table (to clear out the woods) and this was resolved. However, the damage had been done and we were too slow to correct it!

I do not remember the specific things that happened (maybe just denial) during the game, but we all had a good time killing lots of bad guys (it depends on your point of view). I also figures a few of you might be tied of all my posts on rebasing and want something fresh to look at!
