I was so happy with my based up Romans that I did a month ago, that I decided I needed more! As I mentioned, the original batch were some that I purchased a long time ago and just never got round to. The collection had a number of holes in it. I also had a number of left over figures that needed a few more models to actually make a unit.

So, while getting a handful of Parthian models from them to fill out that army, I decided to get more Roman figures to fill out that force and enlarge it. Fortunately for me, all the same painted figures were still available from them, so it was easy to match things up and get more guys. Maybe not so fortunately for my credit card balance, but who needs money anyway….

For the cavalry, it was just a case that I needed command stands and a few extra figures to fill out the units. I also had a unit of Byzantine Klib. super heavy cavalry I painted many, many, many years ago…. I got some command for these also (for when I use them as early Byzantines).

The heavy infantry was the same, I just needed command and a few extra figures.

One of the things that I had hardly any of, was archers and skirmishers. So, I just ordered a bunch of those to fill in that hole. I still had a few extra cavalry (miscounted), so I based these on round bases to use a markers (like I did with my Parthians).

With that, these guys are all done. I just need some Foederati to better represent the rest of the army! Watch this site!
