I did not have time to set up a more set piece game for the week, so just dipped back into some Rebels and Patriots. I had not put away the stuff from the last game, so it was easy to put it back in the car and set up a scenario. The game would once again be with British and French regulars, with some militia mixed in.

The scenario involved two opposing scouting parties out looking for supplies. They would be going through an abandoned Native American camp. There were five points around the camp (marked by baskets of food), that would each equal a point. Both forces would also get points for killing the opponents forces and keeping theirs intact.

Both forces made a run into the camp to control their own half, skirmishing along the way. The British tried an initial attack across the road, but were repulsed.

The game then turned to shooting at one another, looking for gaps to open. The French got the first brake, when the forward British grenadiers were sent home, while the British were trying to do some maneuvering. This gave the French an opening.

The French wasted no time and surged forward to take the terrain and catch the British outside the camp in a cross fire. The shooting was quite deadly on both sides, but the British continued to get the worst of it.

As the game ended, the British had by far taken the worst of it, with only a handful of troops left. The French had wrestled all but one of the objectives into their control. In the end, it was a clear French victory!
