Crescent Root – 6mm Buildings.

Posted on April 4, 2026

Crescent Root recently revamped their lines of buildings again. There last line was done in 3d print, with printer paper overlays for color and detail. I have to admit, I was not a fan of those and only ordered a couple of sidewalks from the lines. I was a big fan of the hand painted buildings they still offered in 28mm and of some of days gone past. However, it looked like those days would be ending…

Well, it seems they wanted more of my money and have thrown out that style and returned to hand painted buildings. The difference now, is that they have moved from MDF and plastic MDF hybrids and moved to all 3d print PLA models now. In addition, they have moved to hand painted buildings again. there are currently a few lines in 6, 15 and 28mm. There are a couple more in “coming soon.”

I was glad to see the 6mm buildings, as I needed a few more for my mass battle gaming. I figured I would order a few sets and see how they worked out in my collection. I picked a number and placed the order. Well, I got those in the mail in about two weeks. Much to my surprise, they sent me a number of extra buildings (seems I’m a good customer). Now I have more than enough! Unless they come out with more walled farms…..

All the buildings are PLA 3d prints and solid pieces. As said, all are hand painted into three distinct styles. First is Northern Europe, the second Mediterranean and the last are ruins.

The price is still quite affordable. In most cases, they are priced the same as a lot of peoples unpainted miniatures! If you are looking for some buildings in your collection, Crescent Root’s new lines are worth a look!
