I finished up all the infantry for the force, but not the heavy weapons. The options available were a mix of MMG and Mortar crews, but nothing for guns. I figured I could work something up with those figures, so ordered a batch with the other stuff.
I followed the same basing and touch up as the infantry. The only difference is that I needed to cut out a few mortar shells, here and there and repaint the hands. I did that. I left a few helmets blue gray, just for variance.
I had a number of fallschirmjager weapons, so dug them out (took me a while to find them all!). I did a simple white primer paint job with some Tamiya Desert Tan, a wash and then the same color then a highlight with Iraqi Sand. I thought about adding camo, but figured the tan worked for the arid terrain, so I kept it with that. The Pak40s were a late decision, as I found a few metal ones and decided it was time to use them for something!
I attached the weapons after finishing the basing and now have some guns to go with my troops. I am short a few Panzerschreks, so need to pick those up. I still have to finish the Panzerbusches (I forgot about them, until I was putting these in the finished box!). With these, I am ready for the next Medetarrainian themed game that needs some mid to late war Fallschirmjagers!
