With the main troopers out of the way, I needed to turn to the artillery and some speciality units. Once again, all from Gajo.
The first unit was some US Rifles. These are straight up from their catalog.
Second we have a unit of Native Americans. Once again, these are straight from the Gajo catalog.
I needed a unit of cavalry. Unfortunately, Gajo did not have any US regular dragoons (I will get or paint some another time). However, they do have Napleonic British early light dragoons. I ordered a unit of these, as a number of the volunteer cavalry wore this uniform.
The other unit I really wanted was a battalion of Marines. These are also not in the catalog. I looked around eBay for a while, but had no luck. So, I just used the regular US infantry and updated them with red cuffs and pompoms. I then changed the cords to yellow and added yellow slashes to the coat sleeves. There were no commercial flags available for this unit, so I turned to Chatgpt to generate them for me and printed them out.
Lastly, you have to have artillery! The artillery was straight out of the pack from Gajo.
I glued the whole lot to the white metal bases and flocked and sealed them, like the rest. With that, I think I am covered for know! At least until I do something about a unit of regular dragoons….
