I ran an Epic Apocalypse game earlier in the year. When I set up the terrain, I realized I did not have any road terrain that worked for a sci fi set up. So, I spent some time looking online for something to fill the hole.

Most of the stuff I found was more contemporary asphalt with painted lines. I also found some 3d and resin stuff. Everything was either not right or just too expensive. I wanted something simple!

I then remembered that I saw something at the Deep Cut Studios booth that might work. I looked it up and saw they had neoprene roads. Most were cobblestone and dirt and did not suit my needs. Then I saw the concrete road set and found what I was looking. I ordered two sets!

The road comes in a long six foot roll with two separate half circle sections. They are done in thin neoprene, so easy to cut. They do not sit too high, so will work for both 28mm and 6mm. All you have to do is cut them to size. The artwork on top fits the part. Being concrete, the two dimensional surface works just right.

I was not sure at first, but then opted for twelve inch sections, as I figured that would give me the most flexibility and be easy to store. So, I pulled out my paper cutter and went to work. I then went back and cut a few sections into six inch sections. I wanted some thin roads, so I cut some of the sections in half thickness. I finished up by cutting the half circles in half and some into quarters to make curves.

A little time chopping and I am ready to go for my next game!
