Having finished up my Japanese Naval Infantry, I figured I needed some landing craft for them to support their naval description. I had actually found these on eBay a few years ago. It looks like the seller has dropped their stuff since then (probably did not want to compete with the newer 3D stuff). Anyway, the set included three different types and was very cheap!

The models were cast in resin. The quality of the castings was basic, with a lot of rough exterior details. As I said, they were cheap and good enough for an occasional piece. Much better than paper! I hit them with sanding primer to smooth out the rough spots a bit.

One of the interesting things is that the models came with metal pins to attach the ramps. This allows you to fold up or fold down the ramp. Kind of a neat effect, I wish other models had.

I then hit them with a dark gray and followed with a heavy black wash. I then wet brushed and then drybrushed lighter shades of gray. I painted the vision slots with black contrast. Next, I painted the wood decks with brown contrast paint and then dry brushed that up with a red brown.

I finished up with a Krylon mat spray all around to seal these. With that, these are ready to go and land my Japanese troops, the next time that opportunity presents itself!
