Now that I am working on my Marines for Pacific, I decided to pick up a few landing craft for invasion scenarios. I found an LCM in resin and the price was right, so I ordered eight.

I got the miniatures and found the print quality to be reasonable. Unfortunately, there were some printing anomalies that had to be sorted. I filled those in or trimmed those off (another popped up after painting). However, they were good enough for the price.

I sprayed them all with gray and hit them with a heavy wash. I then wet brushed them with a lighter gray and did a lighter gray drybrush. I was a bit heavy handed to give a bit of a grungy look. I added black to the vision slots and back opening. I thought about doing the same on the top of the wheelhouse, as this should be open, but thought it would look like a smoke stack and passed. I thought about adding rust streaks, but decided that was more work than I wanted to do for an occasional piece!

I found some LCM decals online, so bonus. I ordered these and added them to the models, once I got them. A Krylon mat spray finish and these are ready to go!.
