I posted earlier about finishing up my Japanese. The last unit I had were the mortars from Peter Pig. Unfortunately, I misplaced the actual mortars for the stands and had to set these aside…. I looked high and low for those parts on multiple occasions, but finally came up dry. I did not want to steal them from another set, so I had to find an alternative….
Well, I remembered that Butler Printed Models had some Brandt mortars available and went online to order some. I needed a few sets, so placed the order (along with some other stuff…). They finally arrived and I painted them up.
With these in hand, I attached them to my existing stands that needed deployed mortars. Three stands had the crew carrying broken down mortars, so it was only five models to add. This is something that I did not notice when I was ordering, so I guess I have three spare mortars to work with in the future. With that, I have finished all my existing Japanese Pacific infantry for FOW (I still have a few vehicles) and can move onto the next project.
