I needed another distraction from figure rebasing work and pulled out some easy to do terrain items for historicals that I picked up over the holidays during online sales, along with some items I picked up at Fall in. The first group was a bridge and tents from Warlords 10mm line. I thought these would work out great. With the sale, it was a no brainer. The tarp covered boxes were some packs I found at Badger Games. The bags were from the sale bins at Monster Terrain. Finally, the hut was a miniature I bought from Peter Pig a long time ago and I figured its time had come!

I sprayed all the minis with Krylon camo tan or white and let that dry. A few nights later, I hit all the pieces with some brown wash and let that sit. Next, in between basing, I would just grab a piece or two and work some drybrush action. This started with an overall tan drybrush in various shades on the different pieces. Later, I would work up the dryburshes to different levels on the different surfaces. I added a little camoshade was on the hut and painted a few details here and there with contrast paints.

Things like the black seams on tents, the yellow panel on the large tent and green growth on the bridge. I then finished with a drybrush here and there on the area I thought needed more attention (grass on hut and vines on the bridge. I finished up with a Krylon matt finish to give a slight satin look and they are ready to go.
